佢揢劍走尋自由下安息个和平

佢揢劍走尋自由下安息个和平（拉丁语：Ense petit placidam sub libertate quietem）是一句拉丁語格言，出现勒马萨诸塞州州徽搭马萨诸塞大学阿默斯特分校校徽上頭。箇話大約莫英語翻起是「我許用劍走尋和平，但和平來自自由」（英语：By the sword we seek peace, but peace only under liberty.）。^[1]箇話中央个佢是完整片語manus haec inimica tyrannis ense petit placidam sub libertate Quietem中央个manus，箇話个意思是「箇手，暴君个敵人，揢劍，走尋自由下安息个和平」。^[2]

来勒1660年，英國軍人政治家阿尔格农·西德尼（英语：Algernon Sidney）提出箇话，佢是查理两世个反對者，後瑲畀用叛國罪名處決爻。箇話在1775年頭次畀馬塞諸塞州普通法院（州立法機關个正式名字）用在臨時紋章上頭。
