描述 This photograph shows the First Torii, Ichi no Torii, at Toshogu, Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This is the view from outside the shrine. Beyond the torii is a five-story pagoda (not visible, to the left). Ahead is the Outer Gate (Omotemon), with the statues of the guardian gods left and right (visible). I took the photo and contribute the file to the public domain. However, people and institutions may retain rights to images in it.
